Lycoptera sp.
De Lycoptera is een haring-achtige vis-soort die leefde in het Jura, ca 150 Miljoen jaar geleden. De afdruk van het skelet is goed bewaard gebleven en mooi geprepareerd. Het lichaam van de vis is afgedekt met fijn zand waardoor er geen zuurstof meer bij kwam zodat de vis bewaard bleef. Hierdoor kon het fossieliseren

This extinct fish lived in the Jurrasic geological time, around 150 M.Y. ago. The body of the fish was covered by fine sand, this process stopped the influence of oxygene and preserved the fish very well.
